Responding to Jo Swinson’s speech at the Lib Dem conference in which she said she was “proud” of her work in coalition with the Tories, Argyll & Bute MP Brendan O’Hara said:“People in Scotland haven’t forgotten the devastation Jo Swinson caused the last time she went into government with the Tories – pushing millions of families into poverty and inequality.

“It’s no wonder the Lib Dems are stuck in a distant fourth place, when they are prepared to go into coalition with the Tories again, and work with Boris Johnson to block Scotland’s right to choose our own future – instead of having Brexit imposed on us by Westminster.

“In Scotland, the only way to stop Brexit and protect our right to choose our own future is to vote SNP. The Lib Dems can’t be trusted and would only let the Tories in through the backdoor.”
