Local MP Brendan O’Hara seized the opportunity to promote the latest information drive from Macmillan Cancer, a charity close to his heart.

Mr O’Hara said,

Everyone is welcome to use this fantastic service.  Being diagnosed with cancer or having a loved one diagnosed with cancer is a life changing experience and can throw up a whole heap of problems and questions answered. A team of highly skilled Information Specialists will be on hand to help with a wide range of clinical, financial, emotional and practical aspects of living with and beyond cancer, so please grasp this opportunity and go along and speak to them.”

He went onto say:

I unfortunately know what it is like to hear that dreaded news when by brother was diagnosed with lung cancer last summer and know the turmoil that it brings.  It is thanks to Macmillan that there is support and information out there to help you.  It is also why I took the plunged to “Brave the Shave” last year to raise funds to help them continue this fantastic work.”

The mobile bus will be in Dunoon on

26th July from 9am to 3pm at the Coal Pier, Alexandra Parade.

Macmillan Cancer’s Mobile Information and Support Service Bus tours the UK throughout the year, offering free, confidential information and support to people in their communities affected by cancer and will soon be heading to Dunoon later this month.
