MP SAYS A HUGE THANK YOU TO ALL WHO DONATED TO CANCER CHARITY

BOH afterLocal MP Brendan O’Hara who took the plunge to have his hair shaved off in solidarity with his brother, who was diagnosed with lung cancer last month, said a huge thank you to all who donated to his ‘Brave the Shave’ campaign.


The target of £1500 was quickly reached in the first few days of its launch and by the end, £3688 was raised for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Brendan on hearing the news of the sum total raised said,
“I am really very grateful to everyone who gave so generously to this worthy cause and the kind words of support sent to my family. This money will go towards the wonderful work that Macmillan Cancer Support do day in day out whether it’s giving medical, financial, practical or emotional information and support to people affected by cancer.”
When asked how he felt having his head shaved for charity, he said,
“It took a bit of getting used to but I actually grew to quite like it. Its now growing back albeit slowly so you will just have to put up with my big baw heid for a little while longer”.
