“The Government have made a pig’s-ear of the way they have introduced Pension Age Equalisation”

WASPI group 2On Wednesday, June 29th, Brendan O’Hara joined women from across the country at a demonstration outside the Palace of Westminster in support of women hit by the acceleration of the equalisation of the State Pension Age, a change which began in 1995 and was compounded in 2011.

“Reach Out – make a difference to someone who’s lonely”

“Loneliness is a public health issue, NHS Highland launch initiative to
raise awareness”
I welcome the NHS campaign to highlight the detrimental impact of loneliness which can affect so many people, young or old. In Argyll and Bute, we have a higher proportion of older people and our remote and rural geography which can make loneliness even more prevalent.

Brendan O’Hara Challenges Government on Brexit impact On Defence Policies (Video)

In a robust exchange at yesterday’s Defence Questions, I asked the Secretary of State to tell me how the economic consequences created by a Brexit vote will affect our future defence procurement programme, including the Type-26 Frigates, the MPAs and the F-35’s and, what did he plan to tell our NATO allies at next week’s Warsaw Conference, all of whom desperately want the UK to remain in the European Union.
