Handing over the cheque, alongside Triathlon event organiser Duncan McEachen to members of the Mountain Rescue Team at their Oban Head Quarters in Sinclair Drive, Mr O’Hara said,

“It was an honour to be asked to blow the starting horn for the Craggy Island Triathlon from a boat in the Sound of Kerrera last October, so I was delighted when Duncan asked me to complete the circle by presenting a cheque for £5000 to the Oban Mountain Rescue on behalf of the organisers. I can’t think of a more appropriate or well deserving cause to have benefitted from this event. My thanks to organisers Duncan and Durty Events not only for running such  wonderful event but also for raising so much money for a very good cause.”
