householdbudgetsArgyll and Bute MP, Brendan O’Hara has welcomed the announcement made by the Royal Bank of Scotland today that the slowdown in Scotland’s economy looks to be coming to an end and that we should expect to see some modest growth for the rest of 2016.

Mr O’Hara responded by saying,

“This forecast from RBS is very good news for Scotland particularly the Central Belt where the recovery is taking root and excellent news for our  financial and business services which seem to be leading the way.  Whilst we welcome this news, the challenges in our economy still remain, particularly with our export activity.  There are also significant external influences on our economy such as new and emerging economies around the world and the Scottish government are working hard to ensure we can compete internationally and that we can weather any storms that come our way.”
